Cherp releases highly anticipated 3rd solo album “Up Now”
Cherp just dropped his 3rd solo album “Up Now“, his most anticipated project since his debut album “Against All Odds” hit streaming services back in early 2018. This 11 track album is loaded with vocals from fellow Elmira artists A’Don and O3 Kosta, as well as Vado, Jim Jones, Disco Black and more. Cherp never fails to provide eye catching mainstream features in his studio albums. “Against All Odds” featured The Game and Dave East while his second body of work “Cherp“, featured the late bronx legend Fred the Godson.
The lead single to the album, “New Money“, was released April 2nd featuring O3 Kosta and was premiered on BET Jams. This is the second time they’ve collaborated on each others projects as Cherp jumped on the track “Cold Outside” on Kostas’ album “Heart on Safety” back in mid April.
He also linked up with A’Don for the album titled song, “Up Now” and the two have been heavily promoting it. Cherp has stated in an interview that his recording session with A’Don was one of his favorite moments in the making of the album, he goes on to say, ” A’Dons energy is just dope, and he loves to work”. Also fresh off the successful release of his own project “Mixed Vibes“, A’Don was spotted featured on a billboard promoting the single with Cherp.
While being loyal to his style and delivery with this album, Cherp is also unafraid to explore the unknown. A true rapper at heart with a love for writing and wordplay, he brings familiar sounds and new ones with artists that might also be new to a majority of his fanbase.
Staying creative and inspiring the youth around him to continue to grow and collaborate with different artists and sounds is what helps make the hype surrounding this so big. On top of billboards, interviews, and a BET appearance he’s also promoting the album with a celebratory Yacht party in NYC on June 27th . With the heavy promotion and the star studded tracklist Cherp is most definitley “Up Now“.
