Yonkers MC Dee Blaze the Pyro is making a lot of noise with his remix to Mary J. Blige’s “Rent Money“ featuring Dave East. The song originally off of the R&B legends 16th studio album Good Morning Gorgeous that dropped back in February.
The Pyro, a soulful artist and producer who dropped his first album By Any Beats Necessary in October 2021, has been quietly making some big moves since then. He’s produced several instrumentals used in Gatorade social media advertisements featuring legendary athletes such as Peyton Manning and Usain Bolt.
“Rent Money” originally produced by D’mile, not only had Dee Blaze’s vocals woven in but he wanted to provide his own bit of production as well. The Pyro goes on to describe what he brought to the track,
“So basically the song was Mary featuring Dave East already. I just added the drums and changed the music a lil bit. And of course dropped some bars off “
In between working on music for Gatorade commercials and remixing some amazing tracks from hip hop and R&B legends, The Pyro is gearing up for another project release, the Man on Fire EP, which will be coming soon to all major streaming platforms.
