One of the most prominent artists from Elmira, Cherp has been signed to record label Empire since 2016 and has stayed busy coming off his hit 2019 collaboration album “Y.K.T.V” with fellow Elmira artist Blicka Don. The seasoned veteran is no stranger to making music with other high caliber artists. Hes made hits with Dave East, The Game and Fred the Godson.
This time he linked up with Ithaca’s own hip-hop prodigy Anthony Kannon to cook up a 607 classic called “Ghetto Gospel“. Not long after its release it got picked up on the radio by Hot 97 and Shade 45 and gave the artists some serious airtime.
Transitioning to a very healthy 5 figure Spotify following for over 2 months and capitalizing on the momentum of the track; the two hired renowned Upstate videographer Schar Studios to film the visuals. It would go on to rack up 10 thousand plus views in just over 30 days.
Clearly the two bring something to the table fans enjoy and hopefully we see another collab in the near future. You can check the video out by clicking the link below as well as keeping up with Cherp through his social links.
